Yes I Think Women Should Be Aloud To Be Firefighters
I Get Your Point But At The End Of The Day Why Can't Women Do There Job As Well As Men I Personally I Would Not Be A Firefighter Anyway But If A Girl Wants To Its Her Chose

Did you used to be a man or something, why are you hating on your fellow women. Perhaps you were raised by a sexiest or did you marry one. Women are perfectly capable of being firefighters and they probably have to work twice as hard cause of ignorant people like you in the world. Question for you: If you were in a burning building and the fire truck came FULL OF WOMEN would you let them help you? Or would you tell them to call for a man while you get 3rd degree burns on your a s s? Thought so......

I don't see why they shouldn't, i mean, why not? They are capable of doing as well as men, i mean, i'm a typical example. I'm one of the best at my training centre, way better than the males and i absolutely enjoy it, not boasting or anything, but hey, times have changed, what matters the most is that your life would have been saved, whether the the person is male or female, so what you're saying is if a woman firefighter came along to rescue you you'd turn them away.....honestly, that doesn't make sence

that is very sexist

there is no reason a woman should not do the job if she is able some women are more able than some men

and how can you say someone only passes an exam because of their gender

if my house was on fire i would rather be saved by a female than die waiting for a man

Yes because firefighting has changed and with all the new technology, the job is much safer. I think women actually make BETTER firefighters because they do not have "macho" hormones tempting them to do "daring" things.

It is another job which has been de-mystified.

Don't be jealous either. And I think your husband will learn to cope with haveing a lady colleague.

i completely agree with KIARI, i think IT IS YOU WHO HAS NO CLUE. my sister in law is a trained fire fighter and she worked hard, if not harder than some of the men. on one training course which was 7 days long of physical training, 2 men quit cos they couldn't do it, my sister in law did EXACTLY the same as the men, had to carry the same weight etc and she did it. who are you to judge? and they are physical exams you idiot, not just written. research things before you give out wrong information.

and don't email me telling me i am wrong, you asked for peoples opinions, if you can't handle the responses you get, don't ask questions. i do know what i am talking about, as i said, my sister in law is a fire fighter, and my brother is an ex fire fighter and helped train my sister in law and they did exactly the same training course, so again, get your facts straight.

and the only email i sent was to inform you i had added to my question, so your very strange answer to my question makes no sense whatsoever.

Female firefighters have to pass the exact same physical requirements that male firefighters do. If they can do that, they deserve your respect, because many of them have to train for a lot longer than their male collegues, and work a lot harder, to get that job.

They don't just get the job 'cos she is a girl!!!'
