it my best friends friend, and my good friends cousin. I didnt know her at all, but im just going to support my friend. I was thinking of wearing, a white collared shirt with nice jeans and flats, but im not sure if its too casual or not.

Too casual. I work at a funeral home, although you would be suprised at what some people show up in, I think it is still a good idea to be a bit "old-fashioned" when going to a wake, etc to show respect for the family......where a nice shirt, maybe a white collar button down like you said or just a nice blouse, shirt, etc. As for plants, I would not suggest wearing jeans! Where a pair of khakis if you have them or a nice pair of dress pants, but khakis are good. Shoes of any kind really NO flip flops!

Stay away from white and jeans. Anything darker and casual but not as casual as jeans.

Sounds o.k, you are not going to the wake to make a fashion statement, you are actually going so that you can support your friend. Plus it also is important for you also to feel comfortable.
