The laws would have to change for there to be an on-line health service and/or technology would have to change because anything the doctor diagnosis they can be held accountable for so if you have a ruptured appendix and the doctor, from what you say thinks its a stomach flue so he has miss diagnosed you and then you could die from the rupture so then the doctor can be sued for millions from an on-line diagnosis where he couldn't do the real test he needs to do so i don't think it will happen in any ones life time that is alive right now, but you never know because technology has improved at a higher rate as each advancement is made

well i think it is a good idea depending on the reason why you need a virtual visit. sometimes the doctor needs to really see a patient.

No. Not unless the patient was willing to pay for very expensive equipment to be hook up to his computer. Equipment that probably hasn't be developed for internet use.
