I am at 10 weeks now of pregnancy, had my ultrasound this morning and everything is normal and fine with my baby!
My question is that my nausea started in Week 5. Then in Week 6 I started having morning nausea and vomitting within 30 mins of waking up. No crackers or juice before waking up helped me, neither did ginger. Few days I even came home from work in teh evenings and had to throw up. However i was able to eat meals in between the vomitting so that was never bad. And my vomitting was only as much as the last thing i ate pretty much came out, thats it. Then in Week 8 I started eating something little every 2 hours. my nausea was better and no vomitting occured. it was like every 3rd day the vomitting would be there. Even up to now i still try to eat every 2/3 hours and on monday evening i was having nausea and threw up some. then yesterday all day i had nausea, no vomitting. this morning i just drank a glass of water after being out of bed for 20 min or so, as I took

I am a mother of 2 sons-13 and 9. I had a severe nausea before thhe birth of my first son almost till his birth . From 6th week I had severe vomitting that i was admitted in the hospital . When i conceived the second time, i very much anticipated this and decided that i would abort if i had such severe nausea. From almost 5th week, i had pomegranate 2 to 3 in numbers readily peeled in the morning itself. Every now and then, like 10 to 15 minutes i was having 1 spoonful. This way i managed those 2 months, that too while taking care of the elder one. Surprisingly, after 12 to 14 weeks, i was completely alright and started eating my regular food. you know, my younger son is m uch healthier and less infectious compared to the elder one.

So did not really see a question in there but every woman is different. Some throw up all the time some don't I had nausea a lot in the first few months and then threw it I would throw-up every once in awhile but mainly only if I ate really late or I went out to eat at night. It will get better the first about 4 months is the worst. After that it is normally a once in awhile thing. The crackers helped me sometimes but not all the time. I normally drank a lot of water when I felt I was going to puke and it helped. Hope you feel better soon. Congrats on the baby...

If you find that it really interferes with being able to eat and such, or even to get and keep liquids down, talk to your doctor about a pill that will actually help to stop the nausea and vomiting. It doesn't do anything to the baby, it is specificaly meant to stop the whole thing so you can keep your food down. I ended up having a rough time for the first few months of my 2nd pregnancy and my doctor finally told me about that pill, and it was the most wonderful thing! And it's not something you have to take all the time, or throughout the entire pregnancy. You only need it for as long as you are having problems. It works in a very short period of time as well.
Some women have the 'morning sickness' much worse than others, and every pregnancy is different. Your goal is to keep yourself and your baby well taken care of, and to keep all the nutrients you can in your diet.
Hope you get a chance to talk with your doctor about that.
Good luck!

My nausea & vomitting was constant, almost every 2 hours for the first 16 weeks & then slowed to every other day. I lost 25 lbs in my first trimester because I couldn't keep anything down. It could be worse LOL

i have two kids my second is now 9mths and i was sick ontil the day i went into labour things like this just happens there are two things you can try they are the only two things that helped me 1.try and sleep with a couple of pillows so you are kindda sitting down (cut down on the gas reflex) 2. talk to your doc about medication (diclectin) not too sure about the spelling but its a little white pill that takes away the nausea and sickness for pregnant women it works. if that dont work there aint much that will until you have the baby and your body(hormons) goes back to normal.goodluck

I didn't quite understand what the question was. I guess you stopped because maybe you had to go vomit. I don't understand why some women have morning sickness and others. I was pregnant twice and was not bother with it. It's all part of it. Now to my understanding sometimes it last throughout the pregnancy and sometimes it ends after the 1st trimester. Good luck and congratulations.

I had a similar problem with my 2nd preg. I had to quit work because I couldn't take it anymore and I was just 6 wks preg. I couldn't even drink water cuz I would throw up. I lost 10lbs (and I weighed 110lbs!) in 1 wk cuz I didn't eat anything. It went away at 10 wks so there will probably be less morinng sickness in a couple of weeks.

Some people have nausea on and off durning pregnacy. Some have it for only the first trimester, and others have it for the whole pregnacy. Try lollipops. Some stores have what they call preggy pops. They come in a plastic case or plastic packages. For some woman it helps.

I used to eat lemons, it really worked for me. Whenever I would get nauseated i would go get a lemon, peel it, and eat it like I was eating an orange. Took the nausea right away. (I used to buy lemons by the bagful during my first three months of pregnancy)!!
