I wouldn't paint or dye it at all if I were you. Animals can sometimes be harmed by paint.

If you really want to risk making your cat sick, I would suggest using hair dye rather than paint or any other kind of dye, because it's already designed for hair. And you should probably give it a light color to make sure it doesn't overheat in the sun; it's not used to being any color but white.

I don't recommend doing that, BUT if you're really going to do it...check with the vet or your local pet store for a safe pet coloring.

The vegetable hair dye that the college kids should be safe, so should koolaide, BUT check with your vet and make sure. Do NOT use hair dye for people. That amonia would probably kill your cat.

Again, I highly suggest NOT doing it, but if you're hell bent on so, then use what's safe for your pet and be very careful about the eyes. Remember also, that cats will lick themselves tireless to remove it. Too much of the dye in their system could kill your cat. So, make sure you talk to your vet about that too.

bright green (that gaudy color you know) or pink.

My father did that too. He painted all the chickens in the village he was staying green. He was a child then, but the villagers still remember it.

Shave it, and then use one of those 'spray on' hair replacements from the infomercials.

......and I'd go for a polka dot kind of pattern. That, or tattoo her with the picture of a dog.
