work hard, practice your music, play in as many public places you can in very well known areas like new york city or california until the right people hear you. once word gets around, you'll be discovered if you have what they're looking for. good luck.

You have to start by working the counter at McDonalds and rise from there. By the time you're Junior Assistant Manager you'll be almost famous. It would help if you play a musical instrument and have an outrageous costume. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry, but that's not a good reason for going into the music industry. Fame is a very shallow reason to want to create complex music. It's about the *music*, not the fame. If you're good at it, excel in your *work*, and have solid talent....the fame *might* come.

If you major in music, don't do it for the wrong reasons.

Make really crappy music. Thats seems to be all over the radio, and should get you famous.

have talent. it really isn't all about being famous, be talented you'll get fans.
majoring in music really doesn't mean anything unless you can put together a great song, take litrature and writing classes.

Yep start performing in public, you could get and agent but perhaps he/she would like to see you perform in public first. Go to auditions etc.
