He can not quit because every body knows that he is the bad guy, and instead of sending him off , they let him celebrate the world cup, and moreover, sending off the best french player in the last 20years.
Do u think this bastard has any feelings to quit?
In my opinion, may be Italy has won the wc, but it had lost many fans including me.

There have been many incidents such as this one, and Materazzi isn't any different than the people involved in other similar acts. Yes, he was wrong to insult Zidane in such a way, but Zidane was also wrong to react with violences despite the fact that he knew whatever insults were false. And, whenever someone has fans, they also have enemies. Not everyone hates Materazzi, and he's still a great defender on the field.

If he did join the Mafia group, how would you know? What if he already has? Why, joining the Mafia surely doesn't require a public announcement!

One last time;IT"S OVER, MOVE ON, Matarazzi is guilty of trash talk - yes- Assault-No. The person who's a disgrace Zidane did quit playing. This was the 2nd time he headbutted an opponent in 2001 while playing for juventus he did the same thing. The point of trash talk is to get under your adversary's skin and Zidane is really thin skinned. He suffered for his action and the best team won. THE END

Matarazzi was under pressure just as Zidane was and they both sides ( i mean the teams) wanted every advantage you could get, this including demoralizing a good opposing player. You can be sure that there is a lot of offensive talk going on at world cup games, its just that this on e became publicized because Zidane let a loose cannon

I see bad losers did not stop crying. French fans are making themselves a bad reputation as: (a) during the game in Berlin they whistled the referee who kicked out (absolutely rightly) zidane (b) proved they cannot lose with honor (as Germans did) (c) they supported Zidane who had done one of the most disgraceful act in the history of football forgetting that .... (1) Zidane was not new to histerism and headbuttin see Juve Bayer Lev in champions league and (2) in WC98 Zidane did something similar. Zidane was just stupid. French fans like you are pathetic. Stop in the name of all fans who love France team.

How many other players in the sporting arena haven't done foolish things and I still see them playing. If every foolish action
calls for such measures I'm not sure if sports would survive long.
I'm not saying such performances are alright but I don't see why I should go to bed angry over them while they sleep like babies!!!

Matarazzi is a great defender, he moves forward and wrecks havoc to opposing teams. About your question, he should play on, if u know about doing sports, verbal abuse is what opposing teams use to irritate opponents, and this one became famous ';cos it was the final match and Zizou over - acted.

Well he just doesn't care a hoot what he did to the worlds best player. But he would one day realise it. Then he would be sorry, trully sorry.
