it varies. 4x4 tyres are so deep theres people living at the bottom of the tread pattern who arent even aware we exist!

average is 10 -15mm. wear limit is 1.6mm (thats what the tiebars, or wear indicators are for between the tread pattern) oh, and the legal limit is soon tpo be raised to 3mm.

standard is 8mm but can vary depending on manufacturer and tyre application

On a standard car its between 6 or 7mm deep.

8mm is the norm some of the cheaper stuff seems to have 9mm at times
