I have tried sanding the wood and washing the wood. But nothing is working. does anyone have any ideas. oh yea...I figured out that if I sand all the paint off then it workes but, that will take forever. Does anyone have any better ideas?

Sand, primer then paint or strip the paint with liquid paint stripper. If you strip them be sure to follow the directions carefully. Sadly, there will always be a bit of an issue of the paint coming off...just normal use will cause this problem.

Sanding is probably the only way you can do it.

Get yourself and electric sander. You can get some small easy to handle ones made by Black and Decker. It won't take you long to get the sanding done with that.

Try a primer, they are usually pretty good for that.
