we have loads of wildlife here in cali., especially up here in the northern part of the state where I live. We have bears, mountain lions, deer, elk (in quite a few places actually), coyotes, foxes, all sorts of birds and small mammals. It's really quite diverse.

I know they have mountain lions in some areas because they are protected from hunting, unless the law has changed. There have been incidents of the lions attacking people.
