I heard on the news last night that Paramount Studios just dropped Tom Cruise because of his personal life. First of all, is that legal? Second of all, Tom Cruise made lots and lots of money for Paramount over the years, so this seems really crappy of them to do this. What did Tom Cruise do that was really all that terrible? So he jumped on a couple of couches because he was excited about Katie. So what. I wouldn't mind having a guy be that crazy about me. And he gave his opinion that he didn't believe in all the medication people are taking today. I actually agree with him on that, and I'm NOT a Scientologist. Tom may come across as a bit cocky, but the guy has had a charmed and successful life, so he probably can't help it. I love his movies and plan to see any more that he does. I hope Paramount regrets their stupid mistake.

I have a feeling that his acting career is virtually over, or at least will never be at the level it once was. His super-star status has plunged to a mere "has-been who's gone off the deep end" status, and his "courtship" with Katie Holmes only proves his endless need for attention. No one is able to take him seriously anymore, which means he will have a lot of difficulty playing serious roles in the future. If he delves into the world of comedy and openly makes fun of himself and what he's done in the past year, he may have a chance of reviving his career. However, he's proven that he takes himself much too seriously to even consider that option. As for his "marriage"...if it happens at all, it will be a perfectly timed, perfectly publicized wedding with a perfectly timed, perfectly publicized divorce at just the right time so that both parties receive as much publicity as possible. It's sickening.

He recently lost a contract with Paramount Studios, whereby the studio would pay him like a gazillion dollars every year to produce new movies for them. Apparently they feel he is not that bankable a star these days.

He'll probably keep acting but if he doesn't calm down he'll be the only one watching his own movies.
