Yeah. When I was 17 years old, I had a blow out on the highway. Actually it was a double blowout...both tires on the right hand side of the car. I managed to safely pull over into the ditch, but did not have two tires to change them with (obviously)....who is that prepared, right? A really nice older man stopped to help me. He lived somewhere nearby and came back with two older but useable tires. He helped me get going again, and didnt ask anything for his troubles. Sometimes, we can still find decent people in this world, I guess....

The only time I've had a flat tire was in my own driveway, so I don't suppose it was necessary for someone to help. However, just yesterday, our car broke down in a parking lot. We had THREE different people offer help in some way. One guy even offered to let us drive HIS car home! I guess that's the Midwest for 'ya!

Yeah, though they couldn't help me any. I was borrowing a car and the key I was given didn't unlock the trunk where the spare was. So I just had to wait for a new one to arrive. And I was about 30 miles from a nearest town, last July. It was pretty miserable.
