You should never have to pay to get a job. You should be the one getting paid. You might want to go to a potential employer and offer a compromise if you can by splitting time between the office and working at home. You would almost certainly need to go in for some sort of training period. If you demonstrate you are a capable and productive worker and the nature of the work makes it possible to work at home perhaps your employer will respond to the advantages your doing so. They would need less office space, you would be polluting less by not driving to work, you would be more available - your child gets sick? OK but you can still do possibly some work while still caring for the child.

I have to be honest with you. Think about it, what would be in it for them if "they" were to offer you a job that had absolutely no cost whatsoever.
