I am taking Clomid, and today is day 15, I am going to have an ultrasound done to see if I have any follicles. Has anyone had this done? What is it like, for example, what is suposed to happen how many follicles, what is suposed to be good? I am hoping I am going to be pregnant, this is my first round of clomid. Any information will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Wow, what a coincidence - I am having that done tomorrow. It will only be day 13 for me though. I don't know exactly what they are looking for. I had discussed so much during my office visit that my head was spinning, so I didn't know what questions to ask about it. All I know is that my OB will look at the results of my ultrasound and if there is a problem, he'll call me. I've decided that I'm not going to worry about it unless there is a problem. I don't want any added stress ttc.

I have had an ultrasound once before to check my ovaries for cysts. The do a vaginal ultrasound to check your ovaries. It isn't painful. They use a wand that they put a cover on similar to a condom.

I am also on Clomid. I am in my 2nd month ttc my second child. I got pregnant my first month on Clomid, which ended in miscarriage - but not because of the Clomid. The second time, I took it for 8 months, but during my 7th month ttc, my OB discovered endometriosis. He removed it and I conceived the very next month on Clomid.

I don't know if any of this info helped you, but best of luck to you!
