the only problem I have is that the check didn't bounce and in fact never entered my check account at all...the money still sits in there
i believe it will get thrown out, but i have to hire lawyer....can i counter-sue at the court appereance?.
I have already been to court and pled not guilty
or will i have to go to civil court after the upcoming court date?

You'll end up having to pay the lawyer I'm afraid.But considering the felony being on your record for all time.I'd pay the dang lawyer.

Have you done a credit check? Do one NOW. The poster above is right - it could be a simple error, or someone could be out there with your financial and personal information. I'm serious - get off Yahoo Answers and take care of this NOW. The longer you wait, the worse it can get.

You should be careful, get a lawyer and do a credit check. someone might me using your account, or social security number. just go to the upcoming court date to protect your identity from fraud. best of luck..

i would try and hire a lawyer to go talk to the prosecuting attorney in the case....i would try and talk to them myself to let them know they have made a mistake..i do not know but you may not be able to do that there...so i guess the best way would be to contact a attorney and tell them you want the money back you have had to spend on this case since you are innocent...

a good counseler will advise you how best to proceed, it may be identity theft, or a mistake, but they may be able to get your clear and get any court costs...
