Just ignore the fussing and be nice to him. Everyone fusses every once in a while.

For every fuss give him a puss. He'll get confused and will behave well eventually, its a hard work though but its worthed. My own fuss experience.

Little things turn into big things let him know now that you are not going to argue and if that is all he can do then to leave, Life is too short to argue non-issues and "what ifs".
