i'm kinda shy and quiet wen i first meet ppl and i wanna know sumthin that will help me to not be so shy wen i try to make friends. plus i'm punk (i know i shouldn't call myself that XD) so i don't know if i'll find many ppl who like me.

I know it's a cliche, but the best thing is to be yourself. I was a total Geek when I first went to school, and to be prefectly honest, the people who didn't have time for me were those who,in the end I was completely incompatible with. The best thing is to arrive, hold your head up. Act confident, sit next to knew people in class, make contributions..anything. Just be friendly,and real friends will accept you for who you are! You want ppl to like you for You , don't try to be a poser, true friends will accept you, thats the first thing...second thing, just be friendly and say "hi" to people you don't know and eventually you'll be making conversation

wow, I know EXACTLY how you feel! I'm starting a new school too, & I'm terrible at meeting new people. But I joined the tennis team at the school I'm going to, & since team practices started before the beginning of the school year, I've already met a lot of really nice girls.
So join a club or sport or something at your new school & act rly friendly- if someone says hi to you, smile, say hi back & introduce yourself! good luck at your new school!

Well with a new skewl....you can be who ever you want.....so just be who you want or are...and be friendly......be positive and strong about yourself becuz if you have a positive additude then that will make people WANT to hang out with you.....having a positive additude about yourself and others will be like a magnet....and they'll come to you if that doesnt work than just be friendly

just be yourself yeah be nice to others don't think because you are type cast meens you have to act that way. The nicer you are to people the easier you make it for yourself in this old world. Good Luck Punk On

find a group that like you and try to start a conversation. if that works and they don't walk away. then you should have friends in no time!
