I like to keep my feet manicured. I notice the older I get the skin dries up more and I feel I need a sander to keep them healthy looking. Is there any inexpensive way to keep the skin softer. I use a file on them daily when I shower, but if I miss a day seems that the dry skin comes back so fast. I use lotion daily on them, but still seems to be a continuous task at times. Is there any suggestions that may be better than what I am already doing?

Before you go to sleep at night put vaseline (patroleum jelly) on your feet and then put a sock on. That seems to work and I know some people who said it works for them. I tried it a couple times, but I dont have the tenacity to stick with it. The times I did try it, I was pleased with the results.

I'm in the same place. This is what I find works best for me.
1) Rubber flip flops and cork soles dry out my feet the fastest. This doesn't mean I avoid wearing them at all costs, I just wear them every other day.
2) Keep up with the filing. It's the quickest, easiest fix to having nice looking feet.
3) Use a foot scrub once or twice a week, say Wednesday and Saturday. I like The Body Shop's peppermint foot scrub, but that's me.
4) Moisturize when you can. Use a heavy-duty moisturizer, but it doesn't have to be Vaseline. I found body butters and balms to work just as well, and in fact prefer them.

Hope this helps!

Soak your legs in warm water before you go for a pedicure, or even every alternate day to keep them clean...the dust and filth on the roads don't do our legs any good!!!

And then use the Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and wear socks when going to bed... It should work... Good Luck...

I like to put the peppermint foot lotion on my feet from Avon. Smells really nice and keeps my heels smooth.

I know remedy that is very effective but a bit messy(just a tiny bit).
Slather on vaseline or any petroleum jelly on your feet before you go to bed and put on socks.
