So when you steal something they will already have your fingerprint instead of having to get a warrant for them. Also, you are fingerprinted upon entrance to some themeparks now like Universal Orlando. Just don't do anything wrong and there's nothing to worry about.

employees handle 100s of thousands/millions of dollars every day. Casinos must protect themselves from criminals. this information is then submitted to the gaming comission.

It is called being "bonded." Anyone who handles large sums of cash in most states in the US has to be registered with the state.
I was bonded when I worked the register at the A&P years ago...

it's not just casinos, it's a lot of companies. they do background checks to make sure nobody has an undisclosed criminal past.
