i would like to be happy , i never want to worry about where my next meal will come from. and i would like to live a long healthy life.

I would like to have a successful career in teaching, be married, own a house with my husband, and have a little girl.

To debate the answer above mine; Desiring something you CANNOT have may lead to suffering, but not wanting anything out of life is laziness, and ignorance. People must set goals for themselves, and strive to achieve them to live healthy productive lives!

I would like to look back on my life and know I'm leaving the world better than when I found it. I want to have a family, a loving wife and kids. Lots of 'em!

Happiness comes from within. Happiness is absence of suffering. Desire leads to suffering. Wanting something you don't have makes people unhappy. You can be utterly poor and completely happy as long as you don't long for anything.

ultimately....I think our only purpose in life is to spread our genes....what else are we her for ultimately....anything else in life you achieve is just your effort to find an adequate gene partner
