Some players would be in the bigs if there were only 2 teams, e.g., Pujols, Jeter, Bonds, etc. Other players are only in the bigs because there are 30 teams. Although it is a loose measure, is it a reasonable way to judge a player's worth? (I use an even number of teams, since it takes 2 to play a game.)

Truly talented - 2 teams, and you see them every year, for the most part. The All-Star Game.
