I am adding these details after I have received several replies. Thanks for all the replies.
I go to a salon once a week for a professional pedicure. In between salon visits I perform my own touch up pedicure at home. I receive many compliments on my feet, however, some women seem to be negative about it. They say that sandals are for women and that real men don't wear sandals. I just don't understand why these women are so bitter. I know this may sound stupid, but I think the negative people are just jealous.

I would like you to let me know how many people actually have a problem with men wearing sandals. I certainly don't but I do have a problem with donkeys wearing sandals as they are not made for donkeys they are made for humans.
I don't have a problem with elephants wearing sandals because they have great big feet and they have to put a lot of weight on them and people don't realise how sensitive elephants feet are. I know because I have very easily upset several elephants feet in my time and i can tell you they are one of the most sensitive things ion this planet
I would have a problem with a man wearing sandals if he was carrying a great big gun and was pointing it at me, but otherwise I am fine about it

I don't think there is nothing wrong with a man wearing sandals. Alot of people however think its silly to wear a sandal with a sock. I must admit, men that decide to do this are heading for a fashion disaster.

There are many reasons, most of the people don´t care about it; but in some cases some people react because they have personality problems, some of them feel attracted to, being a kind of fetish, but they can´t accept it so begin to express disagreement.
If is a man who is complaining about other man wearing sandal, it is possible that he would like to wear a pair, but he doesn´t have the courage to do it. I have known many men that, in the past, expressed criticism about men in sandals, and now they are always in sandals.
And the last group, there are people that just don´t like sandals, but they don´t say anything. Anyway, each head is a world.

It's really only when men wear sandals with socks that people have a problem and the reason, well they look rubbish

I love guys that wear Flip Flops with boardies or a pair of jeans. but yeah i do have a problem with guys that wear socks and sandals i mean whats the point you might as well wear shoes and hide the embrassment of wearing socks and sandals.

Ooooooo I like a man who looks after his feet!
Nothing wrong with sandals on a man - especially when you look after your feet!
I'd draw the line at socks and sandals though.

Guys in sandals are ok as long as the sandal is stylish. Most guys end up picking an ugly pair that make them look feminine.

dont think people do have a problem with men wearing sandals on bare clean feet. its when the feet are dirty or smelly. the worst sin of all though is socks with sandals, its just not cricket!

I don't have a problem with men and sandals. They need to be comfortable jus like Women. But I draw the line when they wear socks with them. Anyhow "JESUS" wore Sandals"

i wear sandals all the time i also get pedicures 2 times amonth and i have toe rings i get many compliments no negative from people sandals are great
