Try Kings Fish House in Long Beach. Works well for us with our 4moth old. The staff is understanding and the menu is sophisticated sea food with some great options for the kids.

Even though it's a chain the Macaroni Grill is an excellent place for both parents and kids. What's so fun about this place is that kids can draw on the tablecloths with crayons. The food is wonderful as well. Here's a link to the children's menu http://www.macaronigrill.com/menu/default.asp?catID=130&tierID=58&Unit_ID=001%2E009%2E0126&menuType=Dinner

You can try Dave N' Busters. They have all kinds of video games for adults and children. They also serve great food at reasonable prices. They got some deals like an entree and 20 tokens for about $10-15 bucks.

well most restaurants have BURGERS or PIZZA in their STANDARD menus...
Kids love these and they can be ordered from anywhere.
The only downfall to this is that a REGULAR piza or burger could be abit too much as a meal for a kid
