Energy, and matter, cannot be destroyed, but converted into different types.
Matter is nothing more than energy given a definate shape. Burn something, and the matter is converted into kinetic energy. Energy increases, while matter decreases, and thus the entire system is kept in equilibrium.
Energy can also be convereted between kinetic energy (energy of motion) and potential energy (stored energy). But again, converting one into the other still leaves the system in balance.
So, in a sense, everything that ever exists will continue to exist in the physical sense. Just not necessarily in forms we can easily recognize.

Your observation is correct. Not only that, but it also means there is no possible travel into the past or future. All those people who existed upon earth are still here physically - they just have been transformed into something else - like water vapor and dust. There would be nothing for a person to visit in the past. It all exists in the present. The future is the same. The future exists at present - it just isn't put together yet.

Not necessarily. Energy can be converted to matter, although mankind has never done this. Matter can be converted to energy and that is called nuclear energy. This is possible according to Einstein's famous theory E=MC^2. The energy in the universe is increasing due to stars converting mass into energy, and maybe energy in the universe is decreasing due to other processes converting energy into matter.

Yes, but you have to study the scientific term "Omega" for total mass and energy of universe. That determines the future and the end of universe.
Try searching on google.
