One trick is to run the connection between the mouthpiece and the horn under cold water for a minute or so and then try to remove the mouthpiece. This trick works most of the time, but I am not sure if it would work with a stuck mouthpiece due to dropping the horn.

Wrap a towell around the mouthpiece, then twist it so it holds on tight. Hold the trumpet in one hand, and "POP" the towel so that it pulls on the mouthpiece.
That's the best way I've found of doing it without risk of damage.

Try running some valve oil onto the crack and then twisting the mouthpiece with a wet towel. A wrench may be your last resort, but if you do use one, make sure to put a cloth between them. Good luck, may you succeed where i have always failed!
