Here is an ironic part of the Ernie Davis saga. He was drafted by the Browns after they traded Bobby Mitchell to get his rights. The Browns intended for Jim Brown and Ernie Davis to be in the same back field. Ernie Davis contracted leukemia and never played a down in the pros.

One other point to mister sensitive detroit fan, if it were for racism their would have been a Black Heisman Trophy winner long before Ernie Davis.
