Everyone has been through this at one time in their life or another. These are what is known as growing pains. I'm sorry for your pain but realize that somewhere out there you will find someone who is within your reach and if you are careful not to settle for something less he will become your new and forever dream person. Be prepared some people go through several crushes. I personally have had about 3 in my life. They do hurt. They sometimes can make you lose sight of reality. It has nothing to do with your age. My First was when I was about 13yrs, then I had another when I was 16yrs and my last crush was when I was 36yrs old. Everyone of them hurt like the first. Sorry do not know if this helps or not.

You know..., it's quite natural for a girl your age to have a crush on someone, especially someone famous....
I remember my crush, (I'm 23 by the way), I had a major crush on Tom Cruise, I mean totally.... Pictures, fan club, all his movies, Magazine clippings of any and every article I could find.... Boy!! was I crushed when he married Nicole Kidman...... There went my dream, I really believed he was made for me... Then as years went by and he divorced Nicole and started dating Angelina, I realised that he is not so perfect after all...
I suppose having a crush is just a normal part of growing up, and you will have many more. As the years go by you will be better equipped to handle them, also you'll find that it gets easier to distinguish between real love and a crush.
Don't worry, you'll feel better soon... Life goes on, and your next crush is probably just around the corner!!!
Enjoy your teenage youth while you can!
Just don't let your crushes depress you... That's asking for trouble... If you get depresed because of something your crush has done... Alarm Bells should ring.... Forget him/her and find someone else!!!
Good Luck!!!

Seriously? How can it hurt if you have never met him? There are plenty of sweet funny 16 year old guys who know who you are and are probably crushing on you right now. Isn't that a much nicer thought than holding out that Mr Big Shot Quarterback is going to go visiting lucky fan club members? It's probably not going to happen. I know most 16 year olds aren't exactly realists, but... you never met him. Just stop thinking about it. The more you think about it the worse you're going to feel. And it can mess with your self esteem. It's not worth it.

I hate that when that happens! You now have a better understanding that anyone who is in the spotlight gets a LOT of attention....and the more attractive they are, the more fans they have. Fantasy is wonderful, until you get slapped in the face with a big ol' dose of reality. You must understand that you don't really know him, you just know what the public gets to see...most are very different behind closed doors. Celebrities RARELY go out with a fan, especially one so young (sorry). Find a boy your own age, from similar backgrounds to find the relationship you are looking for. It's good though that you got this reality so you don't waste anymore time idolizing this person.

My dear you are so young and cool. I see you as a healthy young lady who are very smart and know what to do with life. You are so honest to yourself and you want to be better. I hear you loud and clear. I feel your pain far away and now it is time for reality check. Trust me that a famous football guy probably older than you. He is not your age and he has so many girls around. I am sure his ego will go to a space. He may be your type but only in your dream. Drop dead glorious it is a nightmare and it is not real. I call it a puppy love and you are normal to feel this way. Move on my dear and I am so proud of you not to throw your body to him and your soul can be fix. Let's it be. Good luck.

now that your feet are back on earth, why don't you leave them here, that is, unless you think that you can escape gravity?
That's a big jump tho....
NO I don't have anything to tell you, everyone learns their own way....
so this is what I think for ME:
Know MY limits,
and within MY limits go for MY dreams...
(that may or may not be hooking up with a famous football player.)
when I am headed toward MY dreams, then if I discover I cannot make that one, then I am learning somin' that I will need for an even better dream...
and
(unless I allow MYSELF to be manipulated by others to stop going toward MY dream)...
.
I will get there.

I guess you were fantasizing about meeting him, becoming special to him? I guess waking up to reality was a big shock. You've learned a big lesson, I guess. It's great to dream, but we always have to keep some reality in that dream. Shoot high, but always keep your eye on the ground as well, so you don't miss what's going on while you're flying towards your goal. I'm sorry it hurt you so badly. I hope this experience helps you deal with whatever comes your way in the future.

It has happened to us all, mine was Johnny Depp, luckily my mom likes to tell me about reality every so often, like everyday, like I belong there -- just joking. I know it is tough, but it'll be good for you when you have a real next to you boyfriend and it does not work out -- that happens to all of us as well. It is life and only means you are human. I'm sorry. It is up to you on how you handle it, you can take it to heart and feel it. I just realized how silly I was and moved on.

You were just infatuated with someone famous/popular and why would you be surprised others would not be. If he is so wonderful why wouldn't every one love him. Tiger Woods is a guy everyone loves, men and women of all ages. What is not to love about him? Be happy you have good taste.

This man represents for you an energy that you are drawn to.
It is an energy which is within you and you need to go inside to find that you have that energy yourself.
So love this man for showing you what you need most.
Let him go, and celebrate your feelings towards him.
Sit quietly, feel the ground supporting you, and at the same time, feel the pain of your loss. Sit with it, and in time your body will be able to sit upright even with that feeling inside you.
You will never lose that feeling, but when you find inside that quality you are attracted to, someone will appear, and it will be perfect.
