I really dont know what you mean by this question because i have never heard of cohosh. whatever it is you shouldnt be taking anything to induce your labor. only the doctor does that because they have to make sure the baby is okay. if you take anything you could harm your baby in different ways. so if you want your labor induced you should go to the doctor.

I've heard that it can raise your blood sugar, which could be harmful. I wouldn't take anything to induce unless cleared by your doctor. I know you don't want to hear this (I'm 39 weeks and can TOTALLY relate), but try some walking, intercourse (if you can stand it) or even getting on your hands and knees and scrubbing the floor. Best of luck for an easy labor and a healthy baby!!

DO NOT DO THIS without the supervision of a caregiver who is very experienced with inducing labor this way! There are risks, just like with any other kind of induction! AND there are people with certain health conditions who should not take these herbs. You need to talk to your caregiver first!!!!!

Don't take castor oil either unless you are attempting to avoid a medical induction. Castor oil can cause you to get the runs and be very uncomfortable and may still not bring on labor. AND it can cause the baby to pass his first bowel movement in the womb which can be dangerous if he aspirates it!

don't rely on the herbs as they are not tested yet . and pregnancy/labor is really a delicate matter to handle. ask your doctor first.

If you are not overdue, let nature take it's toll. There is a good reason why your child is not here. Just be patient.
