Transfer to external divice, aka MP3 player, External Hard Drive or anything like that, pref with a lot of memory and goes into a USB port.
Or set up a network with the Laptop and Desktop tho I have found problems with the apparant easy to use wizard on XP.
Another way that I use regular is to connect both to the net and use something that uses direct transfer, Yahoo! Messenger and AIM both do last time I checked, and transfer them that way, indiviually or Zip/Rar/Ace them into one archive is easyier.
The most simplist way, tho is to rip them from the original disk or make an MP3 CD so you got a back up copy incase they get lost on the computers.
Any further help needed, just get in touch.

Easiest way is the email or you can do this by both ur computers online at the same moment and open Yahoo IM with different IDs and then send the file to the laptop by clicking send file option. Quick and easy.

Or alternatively if you have USB drive........then its more easy...just copy on the drive and put it in ur laptop and copy them in it. The size of the drive will matter as to how many songs you can copy at one time.....dont worry if its small use it again and again after deleting the previous songs u copied in Laptop.

Good Luck

Either network the two PCs so you can copy from one to the other

Or copy the songs to CD(s) and then off the CD(s) to your laptop
(Which is a good idea because you then have a backup of the songs should your PC die)

Or use a memory stick (jump drive or whatever you want to call it) to copy the songs between computers

First of all, to Emmy, it would take a month to do it this way! To pink, many options but unless you have it networked which you havent provided info on, next best thing is to buy the largest flash drive you can and use copy and paste, plug the flash in the one with the songs and copy, plug it into the system you want them on and paste! You could also burn them to a cd but again you havent provided details on your system. If your systems are on a network add these details!

You can use an external hard-drive or any removable external device that is at least 4 Gb large (it's quite common). Put all the songs from your PC to this removable storage device, plug the storage device to your laptop and then you can freely Copy and Paste the songs in the lap. Hope this helps!

You have 3 options to do this. One is to have a floppy disk and win zip. win zip is a compression that squashes files so that you can fit more files in to less space. you can get a shareware copy of win zip from www.winzip.com
the other way is to have an Direct cable connection that you can buy from any PC store. The last option i have is to buy CD room and record the musics onto the Cd's and then copy from the CD to the laptop.asda have very good cds packages (£2.90).

if you have an ipod, you could move them over by making your ipod like a hard disk...they tell you how to do that at the apple website in the FAQs. Um, but if you don't. you could try burning all your songs onto a cd in file format, that way you can put the cd in your laptop and the files should show up. But your laptop has to beable to read CD-RWs or CD-Rs.

Buy a Flash Drive. They are very cheap these days. $10-$50 for 512mb to a couple of gigabytes. Plug it into your computer. Drag as many files that will fit. Unplug it and plug into the laptop and drag to files to it. Repeat until done.
