SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Ever told your child,
We'l l do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
to call and say,"hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

There never seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some people live only a short life and some live to be 100. You never know when you are going to exit this earth and the best thing is to make believe this every day is your last day and make your peace with God and savor each moment.

First, get the story straight on who wrote this AND did you get permission from the writer to share it?
Second, this isn't a question and HELLO this is Yahoo Answers not Yahoo Share Pointless Pomes That Give Us A False Feeling Of Warm Fuzzy In Our Chest!!!!!!
Isn't it great that yahoo changed the report feature to make it more easy!

listen~that poem may be sad and touching, but it was not written by a terminally ill girl. just look up "slow dance" on a search engine and it will show you with all the chain mail links and stuff.

Just so you know, that was a chainmail letter, and wasn't written by a terminally ill girl, it was written by David L. Weatherford. The poem is nice, though.
If you don't beleive me go to the site under source.

wow that is an amazing poem. Why can't everyone be like that. Does it seem to you too that the people who have the most trouble are the strongest?
