I have a brand new chainsaw that I kept in a storage for two years and tried to start it in vein. Pulling the rope was extremely difficult, and therefore I removed spark plug and tried. Now, I can pull it real easy, which means, I think, the path for exhaust is blocked, but I do not know how to fix it without taking it all apart.

Is your gas new? Old gas will not work. Is the gas/oil ratio correct? A bad mix won't fire the engine. Is the plug corroded? Try a new plug. Check the bar and chain oil, too.

it will feel "difficult" as the piston reaches the top of the cylinder i.e. the compression stroke. If it is brand new I cannot imagine the exhaust port been blocked.New saws are notoriously stiff when new.

Did you store the chain saw with gas in it? If so, you probably did not use a gas stabilizer and you have gummed-up the carb jets.
