the honda civic is a common enough car mate so a trip to a breakers yard may be the order of the day-a side window shouldn't cost more than a few pounds(or dollars in the us)-they are easy enough to fit after consulting a haynes manual.

it shouldn't, you should have glass coverage on your insurance and it is not strictly for windshields... there is no deductible on comprehensive claims but they'll need to verify that its broken... if it's not then break it. Or call a honda dealer and have the last 8 digits of your vin number handy and they'll quote you for the glass- but have an auto glass installer do it- the dealer charged double rates per hour. I love american plate and glass but I dunno where you live...

Do you have insurance? Our insurance did not cover windshield, so we called and change it to cover the windshield. Next day we called and somebody came to our house and replace the windshield. Couple months later we went back to our nomal policy.. Check it out!! Don't tell you agent the windshield is already broken... Good Luck!!

it depends on where you get the glass from and if you or someone that you know can install it. It isn't to tough but you should be able to get the glass from a salvage yard for around 100 getting to get someone to put it in for you is another story

Go to a dealership and see how much they charge and it they can't fix it(which I'm pretty sure they will) go to a place where they fix car windows they might cheaper.
