this is sad...

Dukes of Hazards was a huge show in the 80's
1996 they do a reunion movie.,.. great tv movie
1998 or so they do a second reunion movie.. this one was cool because it put the dukes in the middle of Hollywood.

now 8 years later i was talking to a friend and we both love the movies and show. and i said, how great it would be for a new reunion movie.

well he told me, that when some idiot decided to make it into a movie (part of this i knew), the original cast took 1 look at the script and refused to take any part in it. In fact, the original Cooter told people (on tv) not to go see it, it was so bad.

Now he tells me that because of the terrible movie, they refuse to ever do another tv movie.

I feel, and wonder what yaul think, that they should do a new one to try to rebuild people's taste in the show before the movie is all anyone remembers.

I enjoyed the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid back in the '80s until they changed the original cast and I enjoyed the more naturalistic take on southern stereotypes of the recent film as well.
Neither was a masterpiece, they are just a bit of fun, don't take them too seriously.

Moviemaker trashed the innocence out of the original TV series. There's been talk of a sequel to the movie and April Scott will replace bimbo Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke.

Keep weeping, all you faithful fans of the TV series.

The movie wasn't anything like the show aside from the names and parts of the characters i mean Rosco was a a smart mean guy in this movie, that bothered me more than anything. i still liked the movie though and i don't think it was bad but it wasn't any thing like the show and maybe they should have called it something else. i think die hard fans of the t.v. show more than less hated the movie and what it did to the reputation of the show, however i don't believe that the movie will ever replace the show, its a classic kinda like the Brady bunch only with moonshine and Dasie dukes (lol)

I tried to explain this show to a friend of mine who is African American. Well, memory cheats. As I told her about the TV show that I loved so much as a child I became more and more embarrassed about the whole thing. Just let it go. It's part of America's past that we should just not talk about.

No they shouldn't do another one. Problem is they will bring intrest back to the franchise and then another movie will be done and hurt them again.
