I accidently got started in guppies with a 2 gallon tank but it had a filteration system in it. In 2 weeks I had 35 fish when I started out with 3 guppies 1 male 2 females. Now I have a 50 gallon fish tank with over 100 guppies. I sell them or give them away. so I would not even try to put any in a 1 gallon tank. My best problem soultion is buy a 10 gallon or bigger and prepare for more and more baby guppies in the near future. Also remember to get a tank cleaner it helps out alot I have 2 right now and they got big quick. good luck in the near future.

None in long term guppies require a filter. Even in a filtered tank you can only have 1 guppy per gallon at most. You might be able to keep them alive by frequent water changes to deal with the build up of ammonia, and nitrates. Most
In this size of tank about the only fish that will survive long term is a Betta, and that would require a water change every 4 days or so.

None. Guppies need adequate filtration and aeration; they also require a heater, space to move around, and some plants, be them real or fake.
Do not put any fish in that bowl, period. That is simply too small even for a betta (which, ideally, should also have a filter and heater).

Don't waste your time and money. In the first place, even with best of care and with optimum water conditions, guppies die off like nobody's business. This is because of too much in-breeding which resulted in this species being particularly "weak". With no filter, it doesn't matter how many guppies u keep. It's only how many days u can keep them alive. =))

1 or at most 2. If you want fish get a fish take with filtration. It is kinder on your fish. You will need to do constant water changes on a 1 gallon bowl which stresses the fish to no end. Not to mention it will wear on you too. And remember guppies like mollies are live breeders and they will breed in a drop of water so you might get more than you ask for!

a 1 gallon is too small for livebearers, in fact, its too small for any fish, imo. Guppies will do best in 20+ gallons.

I'm thinking, with no filter, you should have 0 guppies in that tank.
Get a Beta fish. It would do well in that environment.

3 at most, rather get a real aquarium.
a 10 gallon tank with filter would be much better as your 1 gallon setup will require you to do water changes every day.
