What you HAVE is spyware, what you WANT is to get rid of it.
Go to http://download.com and get Spybot Search & Destroy, install it, update the definitions, immunize, and run the program. Let it clean up anything it finds.
Also good from the same site are Adaware and Spyware Blaster.

you dont say what kind of reminders? e-mail, pop up, did u install some program maybe? If its e-mail then just block the e-mail as spam if its a pop up then, clear all you history and cookies and internet files (its undertools/options in InterntExplorer) and use an antispyware program like Ad-Aware from Lavasoft.
If you installed a program uninstall it. Also if you provided a credit card number make sure they dont continue to charge you.

Go to tools on your internet browser, then click delete cookies, files, and history, that should take care of it. Don't you have a FIREWALL.? U can set your settings to block certain websites.

Yeah, its a pretty nasty program... I had to work hours to uninstall in on my own on a friend's comp but I found a link that seems to give the steps and would have saved me some time...
