Is there an easy forumlate to calculate a team's magic number to clinch the division?

Magic # = number of games left to play - number of games leading the division by.

I think it is thus:

Take the number of games remaining for you. Subtract the number of games behind of the second place team. Add one.

So, if Mets are 14 games up on the second place team with 24 to play the magic number would be 11. Any combination of 11 Met wins or the second place team losses or both equals a division title.
