How do I find good, honest people who can play host to me in a foreign country?

There are agencies devoted to this aren't there? Dependent upon your age of course. There are youth hostels for those below 25. I've heard you can get in by becoming TEFL certified; know someone who dreamed of doing that. If you're not English speaking, you can do that too coz for some reason lots of countries let people in to teach English. Bet you could also find a way to teach another language too. Hmm. What else.

I'd say go online and research the country you most want to go to and you're sure to find a reputable agency who could help you do what you plan. That'd be your best bet. Good luck.
