Hi,
Tha answer to that is unfortunately you can't. Cotton is very unforgiving and will not budge no matter what you do to, but it might just shrink if you put it on a hot wash.
Sorry I am not more help, but having been washing clothes for 30 years now, I have never known cotton to stretch without misshaping.

you should never stetch anything cotton as is misshapes the fibres and when you come to wash them the detergent messes the fabrics structure up

Hang it outside and let the wind dry it. It tends to make your clothes loose and enjoyable to wear. :)

u can't do that. from whereever you pull it it will loose shape.
tip:
buy a new one.
