any publicity even bad is good publicity or so they say.

She has people all over the world talking, that all she ever wants. Look at all the shocking things she has done over the years, if she had calmed down and done nothing out of the ordinary she would have faded into medicocracy...

I think she takes anything that will piss millions of people off and she uses it to her advantage. Quite selfish but clever from a marketing point of view.

I thought the cruxifiction act was amazing. Ive got pictures of it. What people are missing here is during Live to Tell...yes she was on a cross w/ a crown of thorns on her head...but in the background were videos, pictures and quotes regarding the AIDS children in Africa that are starving and struggling to survive. Basically what I got out of it was, Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice for people he didnt even know - his life. So why cant people sacrifice time, money, effort...etc to help these people in Africa...not just Africa, but in our own countries, citys, towns...

People only saw what they wanted to see...something to cause a big stir about. Yeah, its Madonna, and she always does/says something outrageous...thats how shes always been...but does anyone stop to think about why shes doing it? What the reasoning behind it is?!

"The Hung Up star, 47, claims that the eye-popping stunt was designed to encourage fans to give more money to AIDS charities. She shocked audiences last week, when by performing on a mirrored cross wearing a crown of thorns in a mock crucifiction, as images of African AIDS victims flashed by on a screen behind her.

The star defended her actions by saying 'I don't think Jesus would be mad at me.' "

madonna is all about been outrageous, she always wants to shock people, like in that video where she supposedly kissed a saint.
I find her cruxifiction act extremely ridiculous, not because I have very strong religion beliefs but because I don't really see what's she's trying to prove with that. It seems like she's getting old and running out of ideas for her concerts.

Anything for a buck. That has been the material girl's working principle since she sleazed into show biz.

I would think this is obvious.

She takes pride in her trashiness.

I don't know -why- it evoked strong reactions. It's a very typical move for her.
