I have had two episodes about three-four weeks apart. My vision gets funny not really double just like sun spots floating in front of my eyes. Then my arm gets numb and it spreads upwards to my head, lips, and tongue. Afterwards I have a severe headache.

I could be wrong- in a way I hope I am. But it sounds like you had either a stroke or a seizure. In either case, see a doctor.

Been there. Sounds like a migraine. Once you have the headache, are you nauseous? Does light and/or sound bother you? Both are symptomatic of a migraine.

There are many triggers and treatment tends to be selective. You can try Excedrin Migraine. It OTC and sometimes works well for me but often I have to use a prescription drug. See a doctor if the headaches continue. Try to see what your trigger(s) are, e.g., stress, red wine, flashing lights, etc.

Could be an ocular migraine, but that does not match the numbness. That sounds more like a stroke or TIA (transient ischemic attack) which is like a stroke that stopped in the middle. It could also be due to temporal arteritis, and inflamation of neck arteries. This could be hindering blood flow to your brain. No matter what it is, get it checked out ASAP!
