Saddam should be handed over to the Iraqi people and not the American based court.

The Iraqis are the ones that suffered on his hands and they are the ones that should be putting him on trial not us and I will guarantee you all that he will get what he deserves.

The fate of every dictator should be decided by his own victims.

There is nothing more that can be done to Saddam that could beat what he has gone through already. The man has been humiliated, humbled- he's a disgrace and a shadow of what he was, plus loss of family that he valued more than millions of his countrymen. Bottom line- he's a big time loser. But the process of justice has dragged on way too long, and the world would like to move on, so whatever it is, do it fast.
Death, Life imprisonment, Torture, the verdict is yours. I don't think it much matters either way, not to people not personally affected at least.

it is going to rather be thrilling to ascertain, and be recommended why or why no longer! an peculiar theory crossed my innovations whilst reading your question! could Hitler have been given the dying penalty? And if Germany had gained the final international warfare could Churchill and the allied leaders have been given the dying penalty?

If he's not found guilty, that would be a shock. He should get the death penalty, but I would prefer prolonged misery for that sick bastard.

'nuff said?

That is not for us to decide. He has acted against the Iraqi people, and if a general population has the right to vote on his fate, it should be the Iraqis only.

The longer he lives, the longer he suffers. I say life of being dictated over, versus putting him out of his misery.

That's up to his countrymen need to decide.

I object when other countries impose their will, or weigh in, on the US when it comes to sentencing criminals, so I don't think we need to direct them. He's not our prisoner and not on trial for things he did against the US so I'm kind of ambivalent.
