Surprisingly, in my two decades of living, I have never swam in the ocean. That is going to change this Friday, however, so I can better answer the question at that time!

From what I've heard though, it's hard to swim in the ocean and the water tastes horrible. While visiting the ocean might be the most enjoyable, I think swimming in a pool is probably better.

Why else would oceanfront hotels have swimming pools?

I'll take the ocean any day over a swimming pool.

This is a hard question, i love both!

-Pools have lots of chlorine (which i hate) so thats is a minus on the pool side. But i love being able to just jump in and its deep! And i love when you lose something like a hair elastic you can look deep down and see it and get it back. I also love how you can play games like marko polo or dolphin whale (my friends little brother made it up and now everyone in our town plays it!)

-I like how in oceans theres waves so if they're big enough they knock you over (i love that!) And i love the freeness of them, how you can swim for miles and miles and still be in the ocean (i never swim for miles and miles but i'm just saying) But if you lose something in it then it's gone. And also you can't play marko polo that well, well you can but it not very fair having a person with they're eyes closed going down the beach tagging different people, the wrong people.

Ya know, i never really compared them both, i just always said Oceans, because they're natural and have no chlorine, but now that i've compared its different. I think i like pools better, actually its more like i like pools 52% and oceans 48% thats it....but if you asked if you like pools, oceans, or coves better i would say coves....theres this hamburge cove and i love it! its off the connecticut river!

I rather swim in a pool. I'm afraid of sharks in the ocean.

I like swimming in my pool in the backyard. I like wading in the ocean. The few times I get to see the ocean, and it's been several years, there's always weird stuff floating around in it. I like listening to and watching the ocean!

Ocean. I'd rather swim in fish piss than little kid's pee. Unless it was my own personal pool. Then a pool.
