take it someplace to have it done. They can replace the filter as well, which can be a messy job. They use a pressurized system to get it all out, and I believe that includes the torque convertor. Don't bother with it...it'll be more trouble than it's worth.

Never heard of flushing a transmission. You can change the fluid and if you do, change the filter. Changing the filter will require removing the 'pan' of the bottom of the transmission. You can easily change the filter after removing it [ pan ], but you need to use a NEW gasket when you put your 'pan' back on.

If you go this route, after the work is finished, be sure to check for leaks.

Many oil change places offer this service at a reasonable cost - and they'll change the filter as well. I'd go that route rather than mess around with a tranny!
