Because it's THE language in the US to use. It's also used in many areas of Canada and in tourism areas in Mexico. If you want to succeed in the US, you need good English skills.

different languages are important in the countries they are used in. English is the language Americans have used since the beginning of this country. We shouldn't have to push 2 for Spanish.

The United States was founded with the English language, all must speak and learn the correct way to write and speak it. All people that have come here to stay through out the generation's have had to learn if they want to be belong here. Their family back ground is for their own history. The more you do just adds to their lives.
