how can I continue listening to them without having them listening in on me?

You can put sound deadening panels on your wall (go see a home theater dealer for details) but keep one or two loose so that you can remove them and listen in. Enjoy!

If you can hear them, trust me they can hear you. Keep your voice and music down to a minimum and they won't hear you. And if they get to loud let them know you are trying to keep the noise down for them so they should do the same.

Just be really quiet. As long as you stay quiet when you know they are home you should be ok.
