You can usually transfer credits, often it is important to keep your syllibi in case they question a certain class for transferability.

Here's a few suggestions: talk with the college and see what your options are. Make sure you get all info that is yours from the college. If you don't want to finish with that college and would like to transfer, either on-line or at a different school, make sure you have all of the necessary paperwork for future reference. If the college you are attending has on-line classes, they may let you finish that way so then you can go back to graduate or "gown up" with your alumni class.

Move away? Move away from what? Twelve units is only 3 or 4 classes. If you are talking about moving away from school and not finishing your degree... dang. That's less than a full load for one semester. Finish your education. Then move away. It may seem daunting now, but in the long run you will be so glad that you did.

I have a friend who never finished her degree. She's been very close (within a couple of semesters' worth of credits) for years but never finished. I know that not having her degree has kept her from achieving career goals and reduced her earning potential... not to mention that it bothers her a lot has affected her self-esteem.

You can either stay one more semester and finish, which would be best or you can try and transfer your credits. Sometimes you will lose some credits if you do that though.
