You should wax a new car first at about 4-6 months, which gives the paint time to cure well. A black car absorbs heat & shows damage from environmental elements worse than most other colors, so you should try to keep it clean & free of bird droppings, sap & tar as much as possible. It also should be waxed more often, about every 3 months, as that helps seal & protect the finish from the above. Always wash in the shade & dry with a soft cloth or chamois to avoid swirls & etchings in the finish. As for the silver car, waxing 2 -3 times a year should be fine. I think every car should be waxed a minimum of 2 times a year. My car is white (easy color to care for) & I live in an area that gets snow & therefore salt spread on the roads in winter - very bad on cars! I make sure to get a coat of wax on in late October or early November, and go through a soft-cloth car wash with undercarriage wash every mid-April, then wax. This is a bare minimum to protect a car in areas that use road salt. Metallic & dark painted cars need a good mid-summer wax, too, as they take more abuse from the sun - even more so if you have no covered parking at home &/or work. Hope this helps!

You should wax a car at least ever 6 months or when water stops beading on it. Depending on where you live, it can be a good idea to wax it before winter sets in to protect the paint against road salt, etc. If you really want to keep the paint in top shape you should wax every 3 months.
Some people claim that if you wax then wait a week and wax a second time it will give a stronger finish but it seems excessive to me.

You can wax it whenever you feel like it. Not knowing the year of your cars I can only assume that the paint is clear coated as most cars are these days. To be safe choose a wax that is safe for clear coat paint colors.

You can wax them both as often as you wish. When you wash your car and the water no longer beads, it is time to wax. Waxing is good exercise-wax on wax off.

anywhere between 4-6 months.. dpending on the amount of sunlight... if you keep either one in the garage, then you could wait longer... But make sure to keep up with it, especially if it has a clear coat on the paint
