My son was messing around with the keyboard and now whenever I click on something it selects everything on the page and open whatever I am clicking on in a new window. Anyone know what happened? Thanks.

make sure the Shift key on the keyboard is not pressed. if it is, then try to unpress it with your hand or a pointing instrument.

Did you unplug the keyboard and re-plug? Did you reboot? If yes, then potentially the keyboard was damaged and will need to be replaced. Keyboard cost as low as $15 and up. A good keyboard will cost about $40.

the shift or the ctrl button is pressed and is not coming back to the normal position....try and gently pull those buttons back to the normal position....else go to start-all programs--accessories--system tools---system restore...and then restore the computer to a date before ur son messed it up...

the ctrl key is stuck. Try prying them off.

are you sure it happened because of your son?maybe you just want to believe that.Probably it just need to be replaced
