i think that at one point, every body fears dying, but everybody dies sooner or later.. but here's the kicker..... if you are saved and believe that Jesus Christ is your savior, then when you do die, you will go to Heaven and live in paradise with all sorts of treasures.. how sweet it is.. now picture a perfect life with no pain, suffering, or even evil.. sounds like dying would be a good thing

Well yes and no. Yes, because I don't know if it's going to be painful (and I'm really terrified of any pain) and I don't know how I will 'live through' my death. No, because I believe I will come back again and start a new life here as a new baby. But I'm just not looking forward to the death and the birth bits because these two things can be very horrible and scary, I think.

Being afraid of death is normal. Until my dad died I was petrified of it, thought about it all the time and lost sleep worrying about it. After he passed away I saw death in a different light. Your totally right, it's more the fear of the unknown. We have no idea as to what it's going to be like and we know it's going to happen to us someday. It's like peopl who are afraid of dentists...you don't know what kind of pain your going to go through so most people have the fear of dentists. Nobody has ever seriously come back to tell us what it's like so we don't know anything about death. Personally, I think that I will see my father and everyone that has passed away in my lifetime when I die. That has made me feel somewhat better about it. I don't know what religion you are or what your thoughts are on 'life after death' but try not to think of it...live a good life...be a good person...and just let it go. I hope you understand what I'm saying and you can try to relax a little more about it. God bless you....

I am sooooooo scared of death for myself and family/friends. I tend to think about death from time to time but not all the time. If im having an operation or one of my family/friends are having an op or going on hols i get a little worried that something might happen. Then its all over and everything goes back to normal until the next time....

I think it's very normal to be afraid of death. You might think that dying is painful or that you'll leave everybody you love. I'm not afraid to dye. I think of heaven and all that it has waiting for me. No more worrying and being hurt. No more hard work only time for vacation and rest. Do not be afraid of the inevitable. Everybody dies it's apart of life. Always live your life to the fullest because you'll only live once.

I think a belief in something past this life helps the fear, but the method of dying worries me. Fear is normal, it is the unknown.

If you think of it logically, it is as normal as being born. You are guaranteed to die, but you can extend your life by taking some really simple precautions. If you smoke, you reduce your life expectancy by 15 percent. If you are obese, by another 15 percent and so on. So, live a happy and healthy life with the occasional splunge into chocolate etc., and you, if you are under 20 years old, will without doubt see 100.................

No I think it is very normal. I use to be terrified of dying, not any more. I have faith in god, pray I go in my sleep when I do go. And not have a long lingering death.
Best this to do is pray about it to the god you worship. I am not promoting any one religion. It really helped me.

No, Death is scared of me!
Seriously, I'm not scared of being dead, I can have a nice lay in, I'm scared of dying horribly and painfully.
the two worst ways for me to die would be drowning of being impaled by a large metal spike.
Ouch.

It absolutely terrifies me, if I start to think about it I feel all flushed and panicky. It's the thought that I won't be here in the future and it will all end. Scary!
