Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

well, it is a little known fact that the firing pin in a standard Colt 45 revolver is tipped with a Black Kryptonite based polymer as it is the only substance known to be able to not deteriorate under the intense heat generated by the explosion of the bullet out of the chamber after multiple rounds.
we all know what green Kryptonite and red Kryptonite do to Superman, but it is also a little know fact that black Kryptonite, even in the slightest amount, can render him impotent.
Now, if you were him, wouldn't you duck?

Because if he can stop bullets with his chest then he might actually break a revolver if made from a weaker material. Otherwise he hasnt yet conquered his outfit and doesnt realise revolvers wont hit as hard as a bullet. Also a revolver is bigger than a bullet.

Because even "the man of steel" can get a bad bump on his head from a revolver. His chest is bullet proof but his head is not bump resistant. And plus its a cartoon they don't always have to make sense

Natural reaction baby. Though he know he is invulnerable but old habit die hard. Bullet is small so it was just like fly to him, where else a revolver is bigger and look like it would hurt so, natural response took over before he realise it. Thus he duck when revolver was thrown at him.

Bullets would just make a hole whereas a revolver thrown at him could probably rip his attire which wud be an awful sight. He suckssss behind that mask!!

My problem with Supes is grooming - cutting hair, trimming nails, shaving, etc.
John Byrne showed that Supes would use heat vision bounced off a special mirror to shave (that would have to be one special mirror to not melt). I can only assume he zaps his fingernails and toenails with heat vision, too. But what about the hair?? Kryptonite scissors??

The bullets are made out of metal but the revolver is made out of kryptonite

he ducks coz the revolver was thrown in the direction of his face...he's worried the revolver will cause a minor scratch on his himbo face!
